Failure & Love

I recognize in myself that I am good at certain things... falling short is one of them. *sigh*

I picked up The Message tonight..needed a lift, a lightened load. Look at what I found...

"Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love! Go after a life of love as if your life depended on it- because it does."

so, then what is a life of love?

Love never gives up
Love cares for others more then for self
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have
Love doesn't strut,
Doesnt have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first",
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others
Doesn't revel when others grovel.
Love takes pleasure in the flowering of Truth
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back but keeps going to the end.

I have some learning to do.
